ONE treat many people will remember about Easter is chocolate nests (with a few more mini egg treats inside).
This is a simple one you can create with the children (and then join them in eating the results).
Ingredients
200g milk chocolate broken into pieces
100g shredded wheat
Bags of mini eggs.
Method
1. To melt the chocolate, place it in a small bowl over a pan of hot water. Mix until smooth.
2. Take it off the heat and then pour over the shredded wheat and stir to bind the two ingredients.
3. Spoon the mixture into cupcake cases and use the back of a teaspoon in the centre to fashion the nest shape.
4. Place three or four of the mini eggs into the nest and place in the fridge to chill for a couple of hours.
