All-star cast for Dickens classic

Malvern Editorial 25th Nov, 2013 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016

AN ALL-STAR cast is set to take to the stage for a brand new adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic The Pickwick Papers.

Former Eastenders star Dean Gaffney, John D. Collins from ‘Allo, ‘Allo, Casualty’s Amy Howards and stage and screen actors David Callister and Richard Tate make up the cast for the production which runs from December 3 to 7 at 7.30pm with Wednesday and Saturday matinées at 2.30pm.

The play follows the journey of Samuel Pickwick as he travels around the country in 1827, attempting to observe human nature for the greater good of mankind.

Accompanied by his friend, the hapless Nathaniel Winkle, and his cockney manservant Sam Weller, Pickwick runs into a multitude of colourful personalities along the way.

It has been adapted by Nicola Boyce with duelling, elopement, bribery, fisticuffs and much more brought to life by the amazingly versatile cast.

Visit or call 01684 892277 for tickets costing between £10.64 and £22.96.
