AN ALL-STAR cast headlined by former Family Fortunes presenter Les Dennis will perform in Malvern next month in a mysterious crime drama.

Malvern Theatres plays host to the theatre production ‘The Perfect Murder’ between Monday, February 10 and Saturday, February 15.

Direct from his West End lead role in Spamalot, Dennis who is also well known for his roles in Chicago and Hairspray as well as the ITV gameshow, is joined by former Coronation Street bad boy Tony Gordon played by Gray O’Brien as well as Steven Miller from Casualty fame and Simona Armstrong who appeared in the final of BBC talent show How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?

The production of The Perfect Murder is a stage adaptation from the international best-selling novel by novelist Peter James. The book sold more than 14 million and spent 15 weeks at the top of the book charts and 50 weeks in the iBook Top 10.

The play has been adapted by award-winning writer Shaun McKenna and directed by Olivier Award winner Ian Talbot. It is being performed at a number of venues around the country during the first half of 2014.

It tells the story of Victor Smiley, who is played by Dennis, and his wife Joan who have been married for quite a long time.

But their marriage has reached crisis point and Victor has decided there is only one way to get Joan out of his life forever … but he’s about to get a nasty surprise.

As a young Detective Roy Grace starts to investigate his very first homicide case, dark forces intervene and he begins to fear that nothing is quite as it seems.

Performances start at 7.30pm with two matinée shows taking place at 2.30pm on Wednesday (February 12) and Saturday (February 15).

Tickets for the show cost between £15.12 and £30.80 and are available to buy by visiting www.malvern-theatres.co.uk or calling the Malvern Theatres Box Office on 01684 892277.
