MALVERN will play host to a tribute to one of the most influential innovators of the British music industry this weekend.

‘Ultimate Bowie’ will be appearing at Malvern Theatres on Saturday to perform the star-studded hits of the late legend David Bowie.

Frequently reinventing his music and image, Bowie sold an estimated 196 million albums throughout his career and his sudden death touched people all over the world, uniting fans of all ages to mourn a true hero.

Bowie first caught the eye and ear of the public in the autumn of 1969, with his space-age mini-melodrama ‘Space Oddity’.

After a three-year period of experimentation he re-emerged in 1972 as flamboyant alter ego Ziggy Stardust, spearheaded by the album ‘The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars’. He died at the start of 2016.

Ultimate Bowie pays tribute to the work of the global super-star, in a show that is visually stunning and vocally impressive.

Ed Blaney takes the spotlight and leads an eight-piece band that takes you from David Bowie’s early years with hits such as ‘Starman’, through his remarkable career to songs like ‘Let’s Dance’, ‘China Girl’ and many more.

The band is not called Ultimate Bowie for nothing, so come along and capture the essence and authenticity of David Bowie in concert.

The event starts at 7.45pm in the Theatres’ Forum Theatre and tickets cost £20.72.

Call the Theatres’ Box Office on 01684 892 277 or visit www.malvern-theatres.co.uk for more information.
