POLICE in Malvern checked the speed of 400 vehicles during a monitoring operation.
Officers from the Malvern Safer Neighbourhood Team targeted several areas in the district on Wednesday.
Among them were Pendock, Hanley Swan and on Hanley Road.
Officers said, out of 400 vehicles checked, seven tickets had been issued with fines and penalty points in the post for those drivers breaking the speed limit.
Several drivers were also given verbal warnings during the speed checks.
Speeding is one of the issues police deem as the ‘fatal four’ for motorists, as well as drink-driving, using a mobile phone at the wheel and not wearing a seatbelt.
