CONSTRUCTION has finished on 49 affordable rent and shared ownership homes in Powick which are now ready for residents to move into in.
Located on Winsmore, the development provides a mixture of housing types, including six bungalows, eight apartments, 12 semi-detached, four detached houses and 19 terraced properties.
The £7.5million housing scheme was delivered for Platform Housing Group by contractor Seddon.
Several of the two and three-bedroom homes available for shared ownership have been fitted with roof-mounted solar PV panels to provide greener, more low-cost energy for residents.
The shared ownership homes benefit from modern, fitted kitchens and bathrooms, enclosed back gardens and parking for two vehicles.
Applications for the affordable rent homes should made to Platform Housing Group directly and will be allocated via a choice-based lettings system.
Work, carried out by Worcester-based Zebra Architects, Patrick Parson structural engineers, and local subcontractors, started in July 2019 and lasted 21 months.
