A MALVERN care home has partnered with a major charity to continue delivery of its music enrichment events for people experiencing memory loss.
Elgar Court Care Home will continue to play host to Age UK Wyvern’s (formerly Age UK Worcester, Malvern Hills and Hereford) successful dementia music group, Music Connect.
Age UK Wyvern has been running the group at Elgar Court over the last year in Malvern. With the charity’s recent rebrand it has announced Elgar Court as an official partner of the charity.
The Music Connect service is open to all members of the community who may be experiencing symptoms of living with and without diagnoses memory loss.
The group aims to help people stay connected with their community by continuing to do the things they enjoy.
Mark Tandy, Dementia Wellbeing Support Advisor at Age UK Wyvern supporting this partnership said:“We are delighted to be an official partner with Elgar Court in Malvern, and want to encourage everyone living with memory loss to come together and make new friends at this supportive and above all, fun group.”
Elgar Court’s next next Music Connect event is November 8 and will be dedicated to Remembrance Day. Elgar Court will be bringing in entertainers called the, ‘D-Day Dollies’ who will sing music favourites from this era. This event is Free.
Each event runs from 10am-12pm fortnightly at Elgar Court on St Andrews Road in Malvern.
