Armed police officers called to Malvern address after suspect intruders were reported

POLICE officers, including an armed unit, were sent to Malvern in the early hours of this morning where is believed four people entered a property.

It happened around 5.30am at the address in Baxter Walk.

The officers carried out a search of the home and the surrounding area but were unable to find anything or anyone and no-one was injured in the incident.

A cordon is currently in place and officers are remaining in the area to offer reassurance.

Det Insp Tony Garner said: “We know that a significant police presence can cause concern, and I would like to reassure local residents that a search of the area has been carried out, but that at this time nothing untoward has been identified.

“We are particularly interested to hear from anyone who may have heard or seen anyone acting suspiciously, or any unusual vehicle activity in the area.”

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
