Armed robbery carried out at cashpoint at Malvern's Morrisons

A ROBBERY was carried out in the early hours of this morning in Malvern.

The incident happened at 12.20am at the cash machine in Morrisons, Roman Way, when a man was drawing money out and three teenagers approached him.

The man was threatened and assaulted before cash was stolen from him.

It has been reported one of the raiders was holding a blade although it is not believed to have been used in the assault.




The victim sustained head injuries, but did not require hospital treatment.

A 15-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man, both from Droitwich, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery.


They are currently in police custody.

A number of enquiries are ongoing and officers are searching for a third man who was white, aged around 16 to 17, of a medium build, with dark hair. He was around 5ft 10ins tall and was wearing a blue Nike air hooded top, grey Nike gloves, blue trousers and blue trainers.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
