A MOTORIST has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving after a serious collision in Upton upon Severn.
Officers are investigating a collision on the Tewkesbury Road (A38) which occurred at around 7pm last night (Wednesday, September 17).
During the incident, where the A37 meets the A4104, a Volkswagen Caddy and a Yamaha motorbike collided.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 80s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his leg, back and pelvis.
The driver of the van, a 32-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving. He has been released under investigation as enquires continue.
West Mercia Police are now appealing for witnesses who saw the collision or may have dash cam footage of the incident.
