ART enthusiasts can brush up on their skills next month when a popular summer school comes to town.
Running from Wednesday, August 9 to Sunday, August 13, the Malvern School of Art’s programme combines popular courses in sculpting, textile and calligraphy alongside brand new offerings.
The quirkiest course on offer is the ‘Customise a Ukelele Experience’ with Carl Booth which will see attendees use graffiti to decorate their instrument.
Also new for this year are a series of interactive lectures from Patrick Hannigan while Mandy Carwood will explore the surrealist world of Rene Magritte.
Caroline Park, head of the Malvern School of Art, said: “This year’s Summer School is set to be our most varied and there really is something for everyone.
“We’ve kept the favourite courses from last year – like eco print and life drawing – and added some new challenges from popular tutors like Angela Hughes and Anna Yevtukh.
“But the main thing with all of our courses is to enjoy yourself.”
