BARNARDS Green Post Office is set to re-open all its services next Thursday – just a fortnight after it was subject to a smash-and-grab theft.
Postmistress Jenny Cain confirmed to the Observer that the Court Road store will open to the public next Thursday (April 27) at 9am.
All services will resume as normal but Ms Cain is still waiting for a date for a new ATM to be installed.
However, she has urged anybody who would like to make a cash withdrawal can do so by popping in store.
The re-opening of the store will come exactly two weeks after it was subject to an early morning ram raid last Thursday morning (April 13).
Tens of thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused to the shop front after it was smashed by a JCB.
The ATM machine was then removed although the amount of money stolen could not be revealed due to security purposes.
West Mercia Police were notified of the crime at about 3.20am.
Anybody with information should call the police on 101 and quote incident number 0051S 230417.
