Bright future for Poolbrook Village Hall with new windows

Malvern Editorial 23rd Mar, 2017   0

POOLBROOK Village Hall is celebrating the installation of new double glazed windows thanks to the support from Severn Waste’s Welcome to Our Future fund.

County councillor Lucy Hodgson, cabinet member with responsibility for localism and communities, came to the hall to see for herself the difference the new windows have made.

She said: “The new windows at Poolbrook Village Hall make it look brighter and feel warmer and I am really glad that the project allowed the windows to retain their original shape.”

Following the installation a plaque was presented to the hall’s chairman Pam Bevan by Severn Waste’s Bill Richardson.

Mr Richardson said: “Some people will know that our funding scheme is coming to an end but it’s been a joy to see so many projects, like this one at Poolbrook, make such a difference to village halls over the years.”

Pam added: “We have a long list of improvements to make at our hall but we have made a really good start with new insulation, new doors and now, thanks to Severn Waste, new windows.”

The village hall is always on the lookout for volunteers and anybody interested in helping out should call call 07748 983966.
