IT LOOKS set to be a busy bank holiday weekend at Malvern’s Three Counties Showground with a Proms Spectacular and a live performance by the renowned Bootleg Beatles.

The Proms Spectacular on Saturday, August 28, opens with a breath-taking 8000ft freefall parachute display followed by a majestic spitfire display accompanied by well-known British war themes.

The Proms Concert with the London Orion Orchestra – boasting some of the finest young musicians in the country – will then take place.

All the proms’ favourites will be performed, including the 1812 Overture, the Sailor’s Hornpipe, Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia, Jerusalem and other classical pieces.

Two fantastic soloists will also be performing well-known operatic classics. The evening will end with a spectacular firework display by Meteor Fireworks which will be fully synchronised to the orchestral score.

Gates open at 4pm and the evening with the parachute display at 6pm.

Food and drink will be available to buy but picnics, table and chairs are allowed at all Bel Events concerts. Parking is free.

Disabled parking is available but people need to e-mail in advance [email protected] and only assistance or guide dogs are allowed.
