DOZENS of organisations attended a special event held in Malvern encouraging them to do business with two of the region’s biggest councils.
Worcestershire County Council and Herefordshire Council hosted a successful Meet Your Buyers event at the Three Counties Showground with around 50 companies taking part.
Attendees gained vital information enabling them to understand the councils’ processes and how to bid for business.
The event involved networking opportunities and one-to-one sessions with council commissioners who buy in services.
Coun Simon Geraghty, responsible for economy, skills and infrastructure at Worcestershire County Council, said: “The council has recently signed up to become a social enterprise champion and we are keen to encourage social enterprises to do business with us.
“We were delighted at the success of the event, it was great to see so many organisations attend and go away knowing significantly more about both councils’ processes and how to bid for business.”
