Businesses urged to help shape Malvern's tourism future

Malvern Editorial 5th Nov, 2019   0

BUSINESSES are being urged to shape the future of tourism across Malvern Hills district.

A new Visitor Economy Action Plan to support tourism across the district up until 2025.

As part of the document, Malvern Hills District Council wants firms to take part in a survey they are facing so the authority can help with growth.

In return the firms will have the chance to enter a free prize draw to win £50 to spend at Pensons, Malvern’s Michelin star restaurant.

Consultations on the plan will be held as part of the next Tourism Forum from 1.30pm to 4.30pm on November 20 at The Fold in Bransford.

Coun Beverley Nielsen, Malvern Hills District Council’s portfolio holder for economic development and tourism, said: “The Malvern Hills district is a thriving hub for tourism and it is so important that we work together with businesses to deliver a high quality experience for our visitors.

This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to tell us what is important, any issues they may have and how we can support them.”

Visit www.visitthemalverns.org/industry/actionplanconsultation/ to take part in the survey before the deadline on Friday, November 8.

Full details about the Tourism Forum will be revealed soon.

To reserve a space, email Victoria Carman at [email protected] with any dietary or access requirements.

Spaces will be allocated on a first-come-first served basis with a maximum of two places per business.
