THE SEARCH is on for keen volunteers to help clean up the Malvern community.
The Pickersleigh Community Litter Pick day has been organised by Malvern Hills District Council and Fortis Living.
It will take place on Tuesday, October 24 from 10am to 1pm, meeting at Malvern Town FC on Langland Avenue.
Refreshments and all equipment is provided.
Coun Bronwen Behan, portfolio holder for the environment at Malvern Hills District Council, said: “Overall the cleanliness of our communities is really good and we are keen to keep it that way.
“Our residents take pride in these beautiful areas of our countryside and we need to ensure we protect it for residents and visitors alike.
“When people throw a crisp packet out of a car window or drop a can on the floor they may think they are not doing any harm but they’re actually blighting one of the most beautiful parts of the country as well as posing a potential danger to wildlife.
“Creating a special litter pick day is a great way to get out and about and support our local community”.
