Cannabis plants worth £120,000 seized and two arrested as police raid homes in Malvern and Callow End

TWO PEOPLE have been arrested and cannabis plants worth £120,000 were seized as police raided properties in Malvern.

Officers from West Mercia swooped at the properties in Worcester Road, Malvern, and Highfield, Callow End.

During their search they found 100 plants at the one address and 20 at the second.

A man, aged 55, and woman aged 38 were arrested at the addresses on suspicion of cannabis cultivation. They have both been released on bail.

Worcester Duty Inspector Tony Bush, said: “Acting on information from the community we have disrupted these cannabis cultivations which is part of Protect – our response to tackling serious and organised crime.

“We want to make our communities even safer and will continue to act upon all information we receive from the community.”
