THE RHS Malvern Spring Festival is just a day away and is set to provide a glorious showcase of the very best in gardening and food.

The event, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year, will comprise one of its most exciting line-ups to date when it gets underway at the Three Counties Showground from Thursday (May 7) to Sunday (May 10).

Michelin star chef Raymond Blanc headlines alongside MasterChef’s Gregg Wallace, Otter Farm’s Mark Diacono and BBC Gardeners’ World presenters Carol Klein and Joe Swift.

A total of 15 of the show gardens will be situated on the Festival Green at the foot of the Malvern Hills and this year sees several designers tackle topical, environmental and poignant issues.

New for 2015 is the Pimms Champagne garden, created by Peter Dowle Landscapes, which welcomes festival-goers to the show garden area.

The Floral Marquee will have displays from more than 75 award-winning nurseries, while The One Show’s Christine Walkden will encourage novice gardeners in the Get Going Get Growing arena and holding workshops with Great Allotment Challenge presenter Jim Buttress.

Ken Nottage, chief executive of Three Counties Agricultural Society, said: “We are counting down the days until we welcome visitors to our 30th show.

“It is a milestone we are extremely proud to have reached and we could not have done it without the loyalty and commitment of our regulars, both visitors and exhibitors or the curiosity and enthusiasm of our newcomers.

“It is an understatement to say that we are excited.”

Tickets are available on the gate and cost £19.
