MALVERN’S century old male choir is set to lead a celebration of the patron saint of Wales for its latest concert.
An evening celebrating the Land of Son on St David’s Day is on the agenda for the Malvern Male Voice Choir alongside guest violinist, Zoe Davies (7pm on Saturday, March 1 at the Cube).
Visitors can sit back and enjoy music accompanied by a few readings to celebrate St David, the patron saint of Wales.
Some of the best Male Voice Choir songs from Wales contrast with musicals, TV themes and pop hits from the 1960s and are complemented by some easy-going classics performed by the Choir’s guest soloist.
Add the poetry of Dylan Thomas, John Cooper Clarke and Pam Ayres – both serious and light-hearted – and a couple of hours of varied entertainment and organisers are guaranteeing something for everyone.
