MORE than £3,500 was raised for two worthwhile causes as Morgan Motors played host to an annual charity day.

Coun Ian Hopwood, chairman of Worcestershire County Council, held the event on Friday (October 2) at the Malvern site as 17 chairmen and women from across the county turned out in their official finery.

Guests were entertained with coffee, a tour of the Morgan company, a raffle to win the day hire of a Morgan car and lunch.

Funds will be split between Acorns Hospice in Worcester and the New Oncology Unit at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

Coun Hopwood said: “I was very grateful when the world renowned Morgan Motor Company agreed to let us hold this charity event at their headquarters in Malvern.

“The tour of the factory is a great experience and I do hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.

“We are extremely proud of our established, high profile companies who lead the way in innovation, high standards of workmanship and entrepreneurship.”
