THREE Chase School pupils were named winners of an enterprise scheme.
The Worcester Warriors and Worcester Bosch project started in December last year with five teams of Year 9 students working on a brief to identify a product which they thought should be sold in the rugby club’s shop.
Issac Flewers, Jamie Edwards and Francesco Mai attended the event final where they competed against teams from Pershore High School, Hanley Castle High School and The River School.
They presented their ideas in a Dragon’s Den style pitch to the judges who were very impressed with the trio’s idea for a Worcester Warriors rain poncho and thought it had a lot of potential.
They praised the students on the effort they had put into their presentation, particularly the prototypes which they had brought along.
Miss McKeever, subject leader for business and economics, said: “I am delighted at the success of the group.
“This was an excellent opportunity for the students to get hands on experience of what is involved in creating a product and they are particularly impressed by the fact that people will be able to buy the ponchos very soon.”
The ponchos will available from the Warriors club shop in September.
