Christmas at Croome sees bird-themed community sculpture trail installed

Malvern Editorial 5th Dec, 2023   0

A SCULPTURE trail has been placed around Croome’s parkland for people to enjoy.

The Seven Birds of Croome sculpture trail is a collaborative arts project which has allowed local community groups to explore their ideas and paint super-sized bird sculptures.

The sculptures will now be on display around Croome’s parkland until January 14.

Visitors have been discovering each bird, finding out about each of the groups who have painted them and taking photographs of themselves next to the sculptures.

The local groups who have decorated the birds include Monday Night Club, Worcestershire Carers, Pershore Riverside Centre, Hanley Castle School, and Oasis Community Hub Warndon.

Each group has been encouraged by artist MrASingh to unleash their creativity and paint the birds in response to the theme of Looking Closely and the Thomas Bewick and Marcus Coates exhibitions on show in the House.
