RESIDENTS are being invited to sponsor a roof tile to help a Malvern church reach its fund-raising goal.
Christ Church was awarded a £158,000 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund in order to repair its roof.
However, a total of £223,000 is needed to complete the work.
Work has already commenced at the Avenue Road site but the ‘Tile to Remember’ appeal will be launched on Saturday (September 12) to make up the shortfall.
People can donate for a tile, add to the fund to mark a special occasion and even have an inscription that can be installed as part of the church.
The launch will take place between 9.30am and 4pm, with refreshments also on offer.
Services are still taking place throughout the roofing work every Sunday at 11am.
