MIDDLE Ground Theatre Company is bringing their production of the classic Miss Marple mystery ‘A Murder is Announced’ to Malvern Theatres next week.
The story follows the residents of Chipping Cleghorn, who are shocked to read an advert in the local newspaper that a murder will take place on Friday at Letitia Blacklock’s home at Little Paddocks.
The group gather at the house, where the lights go out and a gun is fired.
Miss Marple arrives and tries to solve the mystery, as she unravels a complex series of relationships and events.
The production is now in its sixth year touring and stars Last of the Summer Wines Sarah Thomas, Tom Butcher of The Bill and Coronation Street actress Lucy Evans.
The show has earned rave reviews in the past with The Scotsman calling it “a blissful couple of hours of whodunit fun.”
A Murder is Announced will be at Malvern Theatres from next Tuesday until Saturday.
Evening performances will begin at 7:30pm with 2:30pm matinees on Wednesday and Saturday.
Prices start from £21.28 with over 60’s and unwaged under 26’s getting in for £8.96.
