GUESTS from the council, Masons and Rotary joined a Ledbury club to celebrate its anniversary.

Members of the Evergreen Club attended a tea party for its 56th anniversary with former mayor Allen Conway and his wife Judy, David Sparrey from the Eastnor Masonic Lodge and Rotarian Barbara Miller talking about asset transfer propositions and proposals.

Jan Long, representing Rotary president Stephen Wheeler, said: “We can hardly credit that 56 years ago, the Rotary club of Ledbury inaugurated the first Evergreen meeting and we are all delighted that this organisation has flourished, still gaining members and enjoying the events and activities provided. Rotary continues to support the Evergreen Club and wishes all the members a joyful and happy Christmas.”
