A STREET collection in Malvern raised £531 for St Richard’s Hospice.
The big total was reached by a group of kind-hearted volunteers who held collections in Malvern Link and on Edith Walk.
Sandy Gibson, who organises collections in the town for the charity, said: “I think a lot of people know someone in their family or have friends who have needed help from St Richards so I think that is one of the reasons the collection was so well supported.
“People have been surprisingly generous and it was lovely.”
A St Richard’s Hospice spokeswoman said the money would help pay for six hours of nursing care in a patients home from a member of their hospice at home team.
