A TALENTED artist has given Malvern Library a transformation like never before.
Rachel Blackwell was given the challenging task to create an inspirational mural for the library’s new children’s area at the end of last year.
And the 31-year-old’s incredibly detailed design of life on the Malvern Hills, which sees animals reading books all over the place, has been praised by visitors in recent weeks.
The painting also shows Malvern’s traditional street lights.
Rachel said: “I can’t believe I have done it but I’m so proud of it.
“I wanted to create something dedicated to Malvern and I’m overwhelmed with the response it has got.”
Library manager Delphine Telfer said the painting was a gift to the community.
“We are thrilled with the project, Rachel has done an outstanding job.
“She has provided Malvern children’s library with an imaginative mural to encourage and inspire library visitors to use their newly refurbished space.”
