PEOPLE in desperate need for food this coming Christmas are being urged to seek help from the Malvern Hills Foodbank team.
The foodbank, based at Spring Lane South, is currently well stocked and bosses are keen to ensure supply is well distributed to people who are struggling over the coming festive period.
Organisers are therefore appealing to referral agencies and anyone working with older people, people with chronic illnesses and families who are struggling to make ends meet and anyone who would benefit from food parcels and to get in touch.
The foodbank can isssue food to any organisation working with people in need, and would be able to take food parcels out to rural areas if required.
Chairman Cathy Jackson-Read said: “Many people struggle on when help is available,
“No one in the Malvern Hills area needs to go hungry this Christmas. Do get in touch if you think we can help.
“Please do contact us so that we can continue to provide help at this particular time, especially if you know anyone who may not be aware of our Foodbank.”
