COMMUNITY groups across Malvern Hills district are being urged to go along to an event between 11am and 3pm on Saturday, March 26, at Welland Village Hall to champion and raise awareness about what they do.

‘Common Knowledge’ has been organised by Lee Farley so groups and organisations can spread the word and network with others.

The family-orientated event features stalls, activities, food and drink, and lots to do for all ages.

Among the groups which have already signed up are Age UK, Action For Children, Brownies, Toddler Group, History Group, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Malvern Hills District Council, Malvern Hills Trust, Craft Club, Pursers Orchard Group, Book Group, Libraries and Welland Juniors Football.

Tea coffee and cakes will be provided by St James’ Church, Veg Life will have vegan savoury snacks and cakes and local cider will be on offer.

Among the activities will be giant Lego, outdoor games, art and crafts, seated dance and card-making.

‘A Ghost With A Smile’

At 7.30pm in the same evening at St James’ Church there will be a storytelling performance of ‘A Ghost With A Smile’.

Tickets – at £10 per person – are available from Viv Nelson by emailing [email protected] or by calling 01684 310522.
