COMMUNITY Action Malvern and District’s recent Christmas Coffee Morning was a festive success with the local community and also managed to raise a £977 for the charity.
Around 150 people from the community came together at the Malvern Vale Community Centre, which saw The People’s Show Choir sing Christmas Carols with Feliz Navidad proving a hit for a singalong.
There was also lots of Christmas shopping with delicious, sweet treats, books, crafts, refreshments and Santa proving a hit.
Men’s Shed and Parkinson’s also had stalls selling homemade products and Christmas cards.
Launa Brooks, CEO at Community Action Malvern said: “We had such a fantastic morning and to raise £977 will go a long way to help our community.
“We aim to reduce social isolation for older and disabled people in the Malvern community and create events where everyone can get involved and have some fun.
“This event was no exception and there was plenty of Christmas cheer.
