MORE than 150 people attended a civic service in Ledbury as part of a pledge by the town’s Mayor to serve the community.
The service took place at the town’s St Michael and All Angels Church on Sunday (September 20), which began with Mayor Annette Crow and civic dignitaries being led to the church by town crier, Bill the Bell Turberfield.
The annual event provided a mix of songs, poems, prayers, brass band music, choral renditions and uplifting hymns.
There were also readings from Ledbury Primary School pupils and John Masefield High School and Sixth Form College, and ended with a sermon from the Reverend Deborah Cornish.
