A SPECIAL gala concert will be staged at Great Malvern Priory at the end of this month to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The Malvern Male Voice Choir will be joined by the 50-strong Launceston Male Voice Choir from Cornwall for the event on Saturday, April 28 from 7.30pm.
A packed and varied programme in aid of Cancer Research UK will be on offer with music from three continents which includes Welsh male voice choir standards, a short medley from Les Miserables, showstoppers from stage and screen as well as a few pop favourites.
Launceston Male Voice Choir was invited to sing in town by Nicholas Hewlitt, secretary of the Malvern Male Voice Choir.
“I sang with members of Launceston Male Voice Choir before I moved to Malvern and it will be a real privilege to introduce my old Cornish friends to my new friends in Malvern,” said Mr Hewitt.
“The evening will be Malvern Male Voice Choir’s first public appearance for this year and it will be a rare treat to have these two very well established choirs performing together.”
