DISTRICT council staff have been supporting residents and traders throughout Malvern in an effort to alleviate the disruption caused by recent flooding.
Councillors and officers have been working with parish councils and various agencies carrying out patrols making sure water levels are being constantly monitored.
Areas which have seen particular attention and had sandbags delivered include Upton, Kempsey, Severn Stoke, Callow End, Leigh Sinton, Bransford and Astley Burf.
Coun Tom Wells, who represents Powick, has personally provided assistance to 12 households in Beauchamp Lane, Callow End, co-ordinating evacuation and making sure other homes in the street were secure.
David Rolls, responsible for emergency planning at the council, said: “This is an extremely challenging time for everyone but effective partnership working and great support from staff and district councillors, means that we are able to support our communities living in the most affected areas of the district.”
