AN ELDERLY couple were lucky to escape serious injury when they became trapped in their car following a New Year’s Day road collision.
Emergency services arrived at the scene shortly after 11.35am yesterday (Thursday) to find one vehicle on top of another which was a vintage car, on the A449 near Much Marcle.
An ambulance, a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and another in a Midlands Air Ambulance attended.
The driver, a man, was treated for a hand injury and a passenger, a woman, was treated for leg, back and neck pain.
