COUNTERFEIT cigarettes, tobacco and vapes worth an estimated £15,000 have been seized during an operation in Malvern.
Officers, PC Zak Davidson & PC Jon Hall, successfully confiscated the ‘illicit’ smoking products during their patrols in the town on Monday, November 6.
Raids like these are often carried out with the help of Trading Standards and can result in large hauls of the counterfeit products being seized.
In recent months, police and Trading Standards have been cracking down on the sale of these goods, with hundreds of thousands of pounds worth being confiscated across Worcestershire.
Malvern’s Safer Neighbourhood inspector Dave Wise said: “A great result which protects customers, businesses and young people from the harm caused by these illegal products.”
