A TALENTED artist from Cradley, near Malvern, has been invited to exhibit her art in London later this month.
Martha Helm will travel to the capital city for her ‘Behind Closed Doors Exhibition’ which will run from Saturday, May 27 and Monday, May 29.
The 21-year-old has recently completed a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing at Bath Spa University and took up painting as a hobby.
Martha has since joined the Malvern Art Gallery where she sells her work alongside other local artists.
She is also the gallery’s publicity officer and is working hard to raise the profile of the much-loved community group.
Martha’s mother Sarah said: “Painting is her hobby and as a student without much money, family and friends received hand painted presents for birthdays and Christmas.
“It was then that we realised that she was really very talented and so encouraged her to develop her work.
“She is passionate about animal welfare and so much of her work is to promote this, hence the invite to exhibit at this event in London next week.”
