NATIONAL Trust Croome is setting up to celebrate a milestone anniversary for its RAF Defford Museum.
The museum is approaching its ten-year anniversary and National Trust will be offering free admission for everyone on the special day (September 28).
RAF Defford Museum’s tenth anniversary event will feature performances by Malvern Hills Brass Band, Wartime sing-along, face painting and special exhibitions.
Chairman of the Defford Airfield Heritage Group: said: “We’d be delighted to welcome all our visitors and fellow volunteers to help us celebrate and meet the museum team. We look forward to seeing you there.”
RAF Defford was key to the development of radar technology, a breakthrough that significantly contributed to the Allied victory in World War II. The Museum is dedicated to sharing the story of one of the most secret and significant air bases of WWII.
