Daisy Festival weekend all set to take Malvern residents through the ages

MORE than 50 historic wedding dress and bicycles will soon be on display in Malvern to raise vital funds for Acorns Children’s Hospice and St Mary’s Church.

The Daisy Festival will take place at St Mary’s Church in Hanley Castle on Saturday, September 9 and Sunday, September 10, from 11am to 5pm.

Outfits on display include suits, wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses, with the earliest dress dating back to 1847, and covering every decade of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Unique bicycles on show include tandems, a penny farthing, a Pedersen, recumbent, Moultons, road bikes, track bikes and much more.




A Gala Preview Evening will also take place on Friday, September 8 at 7pm which includes a guided tour of the iconic wedding dresses.

Tickets for the gala cost £7.50 and are available from The Three Kings, Hanley Castle.


Entrance to the Daisy Festival is free.

At 6pm on Sunday of the festival, there will be a chance to renew vows or remember partners at a Special Service for Marriage.
