DANCE teams from Malvern put judges in a spin as they scooped top prize in a European dance competition.
Three teams from Dance in Motion Academy, based in Sandys Road, enjoyed success when they took part in the Bring It On! European Dance and Cheerleading Championships in Paris.
It was the first competition the students had competed in outside the UK and the Senior Pom Dance and Senior Hip Hop teams – known as Motionesque and MotionXreme – rocked the stage to claim European championship titles.
The Senior Jazz Team also gained second place in their division.
Gemma Hinton, principal and coach, said: “We have had a fantastic year gaining so many titles around the UK and to do so well at our first European competition was just amazing.
“To watch the students performing in such a magical place as they danced down ‘Main Street’ was amazing.
“These results have given the students a real taste of success and we are continuing to train hard and looking forward to future competitions.”
