A ROAD in Malvern has been closed for urgent repairs.
The stretch on Poolbrook Road, around 100m north of Peachfield Road, has been shut while Worcestershire County Council Highways officers investigate a problem with the carriageway.
Highways bosses say there is a dip/depression in the road which makes it dangerous to leave open to traffic.
There are concerns there is a ‘void’ underneath, possibly caused by a sewer.
A spokesperson added: “We’re going to make it safe and investigate further.”
Drivers are urged to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
