THOSE who attended the 68th annual Madresfield Vintage Car Rally on Sunday (August 30) did not let the weather dampen their spirits.
Although the torrential downpours did mean the competitors who were sitting in open top cars had to drive around holding umbrellas, there was good humour from all participants.
The event which was organised by the Vintage Sports Car Club has been going since 1947.
Members of the Ledbury Rotary Club were on catering duties with David Vale who helped cook up some bacon and sausage baps to keep everyone going. At one point the wind also threatened to overturn the gazebo with the cakes in it.
President Bernie Robertson said although their takings were less than in previous years, the monies raised would all go towards the Community Chest Charities supported by Rotary.
