AN 18-YEAR-OLD Malvern man has been arrested after police carried out a drugs raid at a property in the town.

Officers from West Mercia Police raided the Ramsons Close property this morning.

An 18-year-old man is currently in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply.

A large amount of what is believed to be cannabis was discovered at the property, as well as cash, drug paraphernalia and two weapons.

Sergeant Brian Simpkins of West Mercia Police said: “Teams from A and D patrol shifts, along with Safer Neighbourhood Officers and colleagues from the dog section conducted the warrant.

“This intelligence-led warrant is an example of how police in Malvern are dedicated to taking a positive stance on drug supply and stamping it out within the community.

“This has been a successful warrant that has resulted in a significant amount of suspected drugs and weapons being taken off the street and helping to keep our communities safe from the harm they cause.”
