SIXTH Form students Dyson Perrins C of E Academy are celebrating another successful set of A Level results.
The Yates Hay Road school met its overall targets and students who took vocational qualifications performed exceptionally well, exceeding target-related expectations.
Among the individual students who enjoyed particular success were; Jamie Richards who achieved three Distinction* grades and will now take up his offer to study Drama at UWE Bristol, Reece Green gained two Distinction* grades and a Distinction while Ellie Philpotts achieved two Distinction* grades and a Distinction in Sport.
Jess Fenwick will now progress to the University of Worcester to pursue a Dance degree, Sam Robinson will read Computer Science at Aston University while Billie Townson will take up her place at Bath Spa University to start an Acting course.
There is much promise for the future too at Dyson Perrins as at AS level, a number of students performed particularly well in the new rigorous linear style examinations.
Frances Green gained one A*, three A grades and a B, Paige Pollard three A grades and a B and Grace Nethaway with four A grades.
“I am delighted with our overall performance again this year,” said headteacher Stuart Wetson.
“The results reflect the hard work of the students and their teachers.
“We were particularly pleased that the average grade across Vocational qualifications such as Law, IT and Performing Arts was a Distinction*.
“I am very proud of what we have achieved and would like to wish all of our students every success with their chosen next steps in further education or employment.”
