Efforts for air crew at a premium

Malvern Editorial 18th Sep, 2015 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

A GROUP of Malvern workers plan to run like the wind when they embark on a charity challenge in aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

Staff from Jelf Insurance Brokers Ltd will be taking on the Worcester 10k Run next Sunday (September 20) at the Worcester Racecourse.

The employees taking part include Ben Wickett, Glen Curran, Ryan Lane and Tobie Vermeire.

Glen Curran, who is a sales consultant, said living and working near the foot of the Malvern Hills made him become very aware of how important the Midlands Air Ambulance was.

“Large parts of the Hills are inaccessible by road so in a lot of cases the air ambulance may be the only option,” he added.

“A few of us also enjoy sports that often require the air ambulance so it’s a natural fit for us.”
