ENTREPRENEURS across Malvern Hills District can now apply for funding to help them boost their business ideas.
The Malvern Hills Enterprise Scheme, launched by the district council, offers grants of up to £1,000 to businesses that have been trading less than three years.
Support is also available which includes access to free business advice provided by ALP Synergy Ltd as part of the Enterprising Worcestershire Programme.
For those who have not began trading, there is the Start-Up Club – a six hour series of expert led workshops on key business start-up topics, such as ‘creating and testing your business plan’ and ‘launching your new product or service’.
A support network of other people taking their first steps to start a business is available, along with further peer-to-peer sessions for those planning to launch a company which trades with others.
And one-to-one support sessions will also help people ‘refine their thinking’ and challenge them to succeed with their chosen venture.
The support will be delivered online and at a range of times.
For business to consumer businesses that have started trading and are under three years old, access to up to three hours of bespoke one-to-one business support is available.
Alternative support is available for businesses that trade business to business.
Coun Daniel Walton, Malvern Hills District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Economic Development and Tourism, said: “The Malvern Hills Enterprise Scheme provides a great package of support to help new and young businesses in their early stages.
“We hope that the grant and associated support will help stimulate entrepreneurship, create new jobs, and enhance the sustainability of new businesses.”
