THE GROUP which protects and manages the Malvern Hills is carrying out major refurbishment works to St Ann’s Well.
The charismatic listed building will be having a range of essential works carried out to both the inside and outside conducted by the Malvern Hills Trust, formerly the Conservators.
Improvements to the windows, guttering, walls, ceilings and services are going to be done at the site on St Ann’s Road.
St Ann’s Well Cafe has been closed to the public since last Tuesday and will remain shut until the end of October while refurbishments are ongoing.
However, light refreshments will be served from a temporary facility below the Well Garden.
The public toilets will still be accessible during this period.
A spokesperson from the Malvern Hills Trust said: “For safety reasons access to the St Ann’s Well Room will not be permitted while these works are ongoing.
“Visitors should be aware there may be some restrictions on paths in the immediate vicinity of the buildings but access to the hills via St Ann’s Well Road will remain open.”
