AN ESTATE agents which has offices in Droitwich, Worcester and Malvern has donated £7,300 to St Richard’s Hospice.

Nicol and Co’s contribution is one of many the company has made to charities, schools and groups through its community fund which has now topped £25,000.

The scheme was launched in March 2021 by pledging £100 to the seller’s good cause of choice for every property sale it handles.

Matt Nicol, managing director of Nicol and Co, said: “We’re delighted that so many of our clients have chosen St Richard’s Hospice to benefit from the community fund.

“It was a humbling experience to be invited to have a brief tour of the hospice to see how staff look after the 1,200 people in their care.

“Seventy-three of the clients who have used Nicol and Co, and have gone on to complete their sales since last June, picked St Richard’s Hospice for their community fund donation.

“Our scheme is a small drop in the ocean for what the organisation needs to raise each year, but it’s pleasing to play our part.”

The donation comes a year after Nicol & Co made its first community fund donation to the hospice, which was launched in 1984 and is based at Wildwood Drive, Worcester.

A St Richard’s Hospice spokesperson said: “Thank you so much to Nicol and Co for its continued support in helping us to continue being for patients, their loved ones and bereaved people across Worcestershire.”

Mr Nicol added some vendors gave Nicol and Co the honour of choosing which local group the £100 should be donated to.
