AN EVENT to highlight the benefits of Community Led Homes will be held at The Cube in Malvern on July 6, writes Oliver Clarke.
Schemes see small developments of affordable properties built and the communities are then controlled by the people living there.
A new non-profit organisation, the Malvern Hills Community Land Trust, has been set up to co-ordinate the project and at the meeting, people are invited to learn more about its plans.
Speakers from the National Community Land Trust (CLT) Network. the Malvern Trust members and the Herefordshire Centre for Community Led Housing will share ideas, answer questions and give talks.
The National CLT Network aims to improve communities through creating more affordable housing for young adults to help them get on the property ladder and brings disused properties back into use.
The event, from 10.30am to midday, is open to all, including those looking for properties or those who have land unsuitable for a traditional development.
