THE STORY of Malvern’s past was revealed through 60 different objects as part of an exhibition celebrating the civic society’s 60th anniversary.
‘A History of Malvern in 60 Objects’ was on display in Great Malvern Priory at the end of last month.
Inspired by the History of the World in 100 Objects, the exhibition told the story of town’s past from prehistoric times to modern day.
The exhibition had been put together by Andrew Huntley from Malvern Civic Society and formed part of Midsummer Malvern 2018.
It was funded by Great Malvern: Route to the Hills project and was the winning entry in the Showcase Malvern competition.
Andrew Huntley, treasurer of Malvern Civic Society, said: “Over the past 60 years, Malvern Civic Society has aimed to conserve and protect the best elements of town’s heritage and this special exhibition was the perfect way to celebrate this.”
